Caixa bank is delighted to take part in an important event like the Energy Summit. As the Vice-President of Sustainability and Digital Citizenship, one of our missions is to effectively support a fair transition to a low-carbon economy, and this is one of the topics that have been extensively discussed by the organizations attending this event and the market as a whole. For us, this is a top priority as Caixa transitions to a cleaner energy mix and Brazil evolves into a greener and decarbonized nation.

I think that these three days were key to expand our business network, but the best is yet to come. The connections we’ve made during the event and the meetings we’ve planned will help us stick to our main goal of advancing the energy transition in Brazil and worldwide.

I’m absolutely delighted to be here in Rio for these three amazing days, full of fruitful discussions and wonderful presentations made by business leaders, academics, policymakers and government representatives, who are discussing a green future and the actions that can be taken today to ensure a healthier future for us all.

At the Energy Summit, Colibri Capital can navigate through a broader environment for building and collaborating in our country’s ecosystem to support the development of energy transition, in addition to also paving the way for future events.

I think that one of the most significant takeaways I’ll have from this event is the different types of specialists that are joining us. We’ve listened to tech professionals and people who know this region and its innovation opportunities. It’s a rich place to learn, connect and, luckily, build collaborations to make things happen.

At MIT, we’re very proud of being here today and joining an event with so many people committed to imagining how a greener future can become a reality not only in Rio and Brazil but also in the world.

The Energy Summit was key to make connections between MIT REAP’s five major stakeholder groups: government, corporate, academia, risk capital, and the entrepreneurial community. We also expanded connections beyond the energy sector, with organizations from the finance, mining, materials, IT, chemical, mobility, transportation and aviation industries, as all of them will be impacted by the energy transition.

We have huge expectations for the Energy Summit results as we created an environment where government, academia, large organizations, risk capital players, and startups can make connections, collaborate and do business together. We hope that what we’ve achieved here will bear fruitful outcomes. The support we’ve had from the Rio de Janeiro state administration and also Petrobras was fundamental to make it happen. And, of course, MIT, by spearheading the distribution and production of knowledge as stated by its motto mens et manus, that is, the minds and hands that truly make things happen.
