Renato Paquet is the CEO and founder of Polen, a trailblazing cleantech company that leverages blockchain technology for transparent and traceable waste management. Renato holds a degree in Ecology, focusing on circular economy and management, from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). His career in sustainability includes working with organizations like FIRJAN and the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), where he crafted governance strategies for large corporations. Under his leadership, Polen has processed over 60,000 tons of recyclable materials, offering logistical and environmental certifications and generating income for waste collector cooperatives through reverse logistics credits. This innovative approach aligns with Brazil’s National Policy on Solid Waste (PNRS), making sustainability both practical and profitable for businesses.
