Favela Inova

Entrepreneurship and innovation transforming communities

Created in partnership between Energy Summit and UNISUAM, Favela Inova is an initiative with a clear mission: to empower entrepreneurs and startups led by talent from favelas and outlying areas, connecting innovation with real impact—a movement for social transformation that originates in communities and spreads across Brazil.

With content, startup exhibitions, and a complete journey from ZERO to SUCCESS, the initiative offers a business creation methodology developed by Pólen UNISUAM, led by a team with extensive experience in innovation. Additionally, the initiative features mentorship from experts (academics, business leaders, consultants, and entrepreneurs), pitch training, and connections with investors.

These solutions will be recognized, ensuring visibility during the Favela Inova Demo Day at the Global Energy Summit.

Favela Inova prepares young entrepreneurs to bring real, creative, sustainable, and purpose-driven solutions to market through a comprehensive journey of training and technical support, with a focus on projects aligned with sustainability practices and social impact.

The partnership launch event officially took place at UNISUAM’s headquarters in Bonsucesso (RJ), during a ceremony that brought together entrepreneurs, experts, and students, with a live broadcast reaching over 35,000 students at the institution, expanding the initiative’s reach.

In addition, the partnership between Energy Summit and UNISUAM includes an engaged network of over 1,100 student volunteers, 900 of whom have already confirmed their participation in the event’s activities. These volunteers will have the opportunity to work on various fronts, gaining hands-on experience with the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Volunteers in the program will have access to a variety of benefits, such as:
