Daniel Lamassa serves as the Deputy Undersecretary for Energy in the Secretariat for Economic Development, Energy, and International Relations (SEDEERI) of the Rio de Janeiro state government. His role involves strategic oversight and development of public policies aimed at enhancing the state’s energy sector, particularly focusing on oil, natural gas, and renewable energies like solar photovoltaic, offshore wind, green and blue hydrogen, and biogas. As a seasoned professional, Daniel has a robust background in petroleum engineering from PUC-Rio, along with an international master’s degree in Oil and Gas Trade Management from Regent’s University London, and a postgraduate degree in Project Management from Fundação Getulio Vargas. His career includes significant contributions to energy consulting and operational roles in transport companies utilizing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as fuel. His expertise is further recognized through various publications and his active participation in industry-related speaking engagements
