Adalberto Maciel is the General Coordinator of Industrial Property Law at the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) in Brazil. He holds a law degree from the Federal University of Pernambuco, a specialization in Competition Defense from FGV-São Paulo, a Master’s degree in Economic Analysis of Law from the Catholic University of Brasília, and an LLM in Intellectual Property and Innovation from Columbia University in New York. Since 2004, Adalberto has been a Federal Attorney at the Federal Attorney General’s Office (AGU). His extensive experience includes significant roles in the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic and the Ministry of Education, focusing on public policy consulting, particularly in innovation, intellectual property, and regulation
